Our Commitment
BossDog K9 Dog Training in Houston, Texas is dedicated to providing exceptional dog training services while helping owners achieve their goals and strengthen their bond with their dogs. From basic obedience to advanced behavior modification, service dogs, and personal protection K9s, we deliver professional, results-driven training for dogs of all breeds and ages.
Our Beginning
Our head trainer, Macey Fruge, has been passionate about working with dogs throughout her life. From small companions to rare working breeds, Macey's experience spans service dogs, therapy dogs, pet obedience, detection dogs, personal protection K9s, and search and rescue dogs.
Britt, a dog that significantly influenced Macey's career and now our logo, helped showcase her unique talent for training both dogs and their owners. This early success inspired Macey to expand her skills and pursue professional certification at Highland K9's School for Dog Trainers, where she mastered animal learning science, advanced obedience, behavior modification, service dog laws, and detection and personal protection dog training.
In 2020, Macey launched BossDog Training to serve the public with safe, effective, and personalized dog training services; and in 2021, re-branded to BossDog K9 Dog Training.
Growth & Goals
In 2025, BossDog K9 relocated to a modern, professional training facility in Houston, Texas, enabling us to expand our services to include:
- Board & Train Programs
- Day Training / Daycare Training
- Behavior Modification Programs
- Private Lessons
- Group Classes
We currently have 3 openings in our Service Dog Program and 3 openings in our Personal Protection Dog Program.
Future Plans
In 2026, we will also offer dog walking, pet sitting, and boarding services throughout Houston. Our new facility will include:
- Three dog play yards for structured exercise and socialization
- A retail store featuring recommended dog training equipment
